Connection and the Environment- How I incorporate these elements into storytelling photography

Creating authentic, organic, and natural images for your family to cherish

When I first picked up my camera and fell in love with photography, travel and landscapes were my primary subject. I was, and still am, inspired greatly by the world around me. When you are in a magical location, or a special place.. it hits the soul differently. You feel alive and happy, and of course that permeates through your body and soul. So when I started photographing for other families, choosing a location is something so important not only to my families I photograph, but also to me in finding that inspiration when I work.

When we plan our session, families will either choose a place special to them, or prefer me to choose for them. When families choose a location meaningful to them, their photographs are layered with even more depth and meaning. They are relaxed, comfortable, and happy in that nostalgic or special place. Often times, families would like to leave it up to me to choose. I have scoured areas to find places that inspire me and offer natural beauty, that elevate your images, and allow families to feel that beauty and landscape. It is an experience more than anything for them, which helps them relax and enjoy, which of course shows through in their photographs.

My photography is something I want people to feel. Connection is so very important, but together with environment it becomes even more powerful. Using artistic elements of composition in both connection and surroundings, will ensure your photographs have a natural, relaxed, and organic beauty that is timeless and beautiful!

Welcome

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of authentic documentation. Our stories and truths are not only a gift for ourselves, but also through the generations, becoming treasured keepsakes as proof of our place and time. My passion lies in storytelling that focuses on your present moments. Whether our adventures take us deep into the Hudson Valley, high in the Catskill Mountains, or within the comfort of your home, it is always about where you are meant to be and where you feel the most alive.
