Photographs For This Very Special Journey
My maternity and newborn photography collection, “From Bump to Birth” was designed as a storytelling keepsake for your pregnancy and newborn experience. It was created with the nostalgic parents in mind; for parents who recognize the gravity of these moments, and want to remember them in a personal way. Let’s break down what these collections are, and if they are right for your family.
The first part of your collection is maternity. After working with expecting couples for a few years, I have really narrowed in how I like to document for families. I most commonly shoot outdoors during golden hour (sunrise or sunset) at a stunning outdoor location.
However, I am so excited this year to offer an extension of maternity- a pregnancy boudoir experience. This boudoir experience is designed for those looking to have a more intimate glimpse into their pregnancy. This was something really important to me, and a few years in the making! Maternity collections can include a golden hour session, an indoor boudoir experience, or a combination of both.
The second part of your collection is your newborn experience. There are two options on how I document newborns- either in hospital about 48 hours after birth, or at home (timeline can vary and is up to you). Each option has similarities and differences, but both will capture the heavy connection and detail that this experience is defined by.
Finally, when your sessions are completed, I get to designing an album for you. This is the fun part! You choose your favorite images from your session, and I create a storytelling album that will forever memorialize this experience! Printing your memories is so important to me, and I love this part of the process. Seeing the transition from Bump to Birth in print is so special! Albums are designed by me, and include your custom preferences.
So much of my passion for this work is centered around families and their children, in all stages of the experience. My hope is that this collection can provide families with memories that they will cherish forever!
