Summer is a beautiful time to visit the Hudson Valley! If you find yourself here during the summer while doing family photos, there is no shortage of things to do. There is really something for everyone.

Having three kids of my own, I have explored much of what there is to offer, specifically around my town of Red Hook, NY. I am biased, but I think it is pretty amazing here! Whether you are into music, arts, culture, sports, nature, food or history, I am going to share my favorite places to go in the summer (all kid friendly!)

Art Omi, Ghent- https://artomi.org/ – an outdoor sculpture and art park (great for all ages!)
The Dia, Beacon- https://www.diaart.org/ – art museum (best for older elementary, middle, and high school ages)
The Center for Performing Arts, Rhinebeck – https://www.centerforperformingarts.org/- live theatre year round, that incorporates kids into their shows. My kids love it here!

Sports lovers:

Hudson Valley Renegades Baseball Game, Fishkill – https://www.milb.com/hudson-valley – semi pro baseball team, great for kids!
Kingston Stockade Football Club- https://www.stockadefc.com/ – semi pro soccer team with live matches in Kingston
Red Hook Town Recreation Park has basketball courts, skateboarding park, baseball fields, and playgrounds to let your kids run free and have fun!
