Finding the Art in your Detailed, Everyday Moments
Why I Love Capturing Intricate Details During Your Photo Session
One of the biggest things that sets me apart from other family photographers is my attention to the details. I am always looking- from the moment we meet up, until when we leave; looking for the natural body language, subtleties, and unique interactions that make your family who you are. It is also one of the reasons I do not offer mini sessions, but only full collections. It takes time for good photography to unfold!
The collections I give are comprehensive. You typically will get many more photos over my quoted amount, because I can never choose for you- and I don’t want to have to. From posed to candids, intricate details and everything in between.. I am dedicated to your story. So what does attention to details really mean?
For newborn collections, I means an eye on newborn details and also connection. It is the little fingers, toes, eyelashes, and lips. But it is also, a mother smelling her baby’s newborn skin, feeling their soft hair, or gently kissing their cheek. It is the moments that are prompted, that almost always lead to an unprompted moment in time. It is the way siblings bond to their new baby (or pets too!); the yawns, flickering smiles, and tiny finger grasps.
For families, it is so many things! It is how parent’s interact with their children, it is how children interact with their environment, and how couples engage with each other. It is the little ways you all laugh together, find comfort in each other, and the wonderment of the natural environment. I want you to remember all of it.
Of course, if there is anything specific you want me to focus on, I always love hearing about those things too. I am always paying attention, because I have such a passion for the sweet in between. When no one thinks anyone is watching, that is where the magic lies!
