Creating Lifetime Memories During Your Memorable Trips
Travel photography has been more within reach in the last few years than ever before. Social media and how we relate to the world, makes far away places feel not so foreign which leads to more families being more adventurous in where they go.
From a young age, I have loved international and domestic travel, and made it a huge part of my life. In fact, it is really how my love of photography took off.
The pull to remember the spirit and feelings of some of these magical, unique trips I know is there for everyone. I know we all try to find ways to bring a part of the experience home with us; to somehow bottle up the feelings and energy of what we experienced. That is how I started to view travel family photography sessions.
So what is a travel photography session? These to me are defined as anything outside of my normal radius of work (Hudson Valley, NYC, Westchester, Catskills.) In the past, I have taken on these sessions by request, and if it is possible to fit into my schedule I am always up for it.
A few considerations to keep in mind if you are thinking of a session:
- PLAN AHEAD! Most likely your dates aren’t super flexible, and my schedule can book months in advance. These are not the type of sessions that can be planned on the fly. There must be thought put into the logistics to keep it all smooth.
- They are an investment. Travel fees can encompass gas, mileage, flights, and hotel stays. I won’t charge you for anything that doesn’t apply to your session (meaning I won’t take a week vacation from your one day session!) My fee encompasses the essentials that I need covered when I am working for you (meals, lodging, transportation).
- Sky is the limit! Whether this is domestic or international, I have no restrictions on where I will go.
Travel can bring out the best in ourselves and loved ones. Also, to be in a magical place creates magical energy! I’d love to talk to you more about the places that inspire you most, and how we can merge storytelling with beautiful places for your family.
