Lifestyle photography is natural, organic, and candid. It’s capturing all of the authentic details of your family, and those “in between” moments of love and emotion. It is connection. Finding a photographer who is willing to invest into your family and your family’s story, will always show through in your photographs. It is not merely a simple smile for the camera, but a look deeper into this season of life. Is it crazy trying to chase after two toddlers? Are you new parents insanely in love with your new baby? Are you parents of older children and trying to hang on to those last few years of youth? Whatever stage of life you are in, it can be documented artfully and beautifully. Find a photographer that is willing to invest in you, just as you invest into them. You will absolutely not regret it!
But what if you feel uncomfortable in front of the camera? What if “natural” interactions don’t come easily to you when someone is chasing after you with a camera? My approach is unhurried and no pressure. I will always take your lead, and never force a shot. Sometimes it takes some time for families to warm up during our session, and that’s totally ok! We have plenty of time to just do things you would normally do as a family. I stay natural as well, so it doesn’t feel awkward or strange for you when someone has a camera in front of you. I will lightly guide your movements to capture images, but mainly, this is all about you. And no matter how uncomfortable you think you may be in front of the camera, I bet you are blown away by the magic that we can create together.
