What to expect during the booking process for a photography session

Know what to expect when booking with me as your photographer

When deciding how to build my business, I knew I wasn’t built to be a photographer who could take session after session, heavily pose, and have clients choose only a handful of digitals when it was all said and done. I capture all of these beautiful images of your family, and to think of most of them just sitting on my computer completely breaks my heart! To be clear, I think it’s a wonderful business model if it works for YOU! But for me, it wasn’t and isn’t. I take a handful of sessions per month which allows me to dive deep into the families that choose to invest into me. I give them all that I can to help and support them throughout the planning stages. I want to get to know them, and document them each uniquely, allowing stories to unfold during our time together. So, my best advice if you’d like to work with me, is to plan ahead. I take more sessions than typical in the fall, but I do cap off once I reach that limit. I have had to turn families away which I hate to do. So if you want to work with me, or any photographer you love, plan ahead. Invest into the process and book early. I send all of my families loads of info when they book, to keep them in the know and feeling prepared. So by the time we shoot our session, it’s that much more comfortable! I love getting to know my families and keeping a natural and easy shooting environment- because this, above all, should be fun!

If you’d like to learn more about booking a session with me, please say hello!

Welcome

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of authentic documentation. Our stories and truths are not only a gift for ourselves, but also through the generations, becoming treasured keepsakes as proof of our place and time. My passion lies in storytelling that focuses on your present moments. Whether our adventures take us deep into the Hudson Valley, high in the Catskill Mountains, or within the comfort of your home, it is always about where you are meant to be and where you feel the most alive.
