Hudson Valley and the Catskills Lifestyle Family Photographer

All the information you need to know about picking the perfect location for your session

Landscapes have always been a source of inspiration for me. Whether it’s the natural beauty of mountains, lakes, rivers, rolling hills or wildflowers. I’m a huge lover of nature and the outdoors. Some clients have a special place in mind where they’d like their session to take place, and I always encourage that conversation. If I can make it work, I love photographing a place with nostalgia and meaning to you. But if you don’t have a place in mind, then I have many preferred spots that I can offer to you. I have worked hard to figure out where these are! Yes, the spot has to have natural beauty- but I also look for the light. It has to hit just right. There’s a merging of a few key elements to make it work perfectly! Once we are planning your session, we go over where exactly is the best place to document your family.

In the works for 2022, I am creating an adventure collection, for those who have a little wanderlust like me. I will be coming up more adventurous locations to offer that we can shoot at. I’m finalizing this list – but you can expect dramatic waterfalls, expansive mountains, and picturesque lakes with magical morning and evening light. If you prefer to have sessions in a spot slightly more grounded then that’s all good too. Wherever we go, I look for those tall grasses, wild fields, and raw natural beauty. Being a lifestyle photographer, having an organic backdrop perfectly complements the natural feel of your images.

Welcome

I wholeheartedly believe in the power of authentic documentation. Our stories and truths are not only a gift for ourselves, but also through the generations, becoming treasured keepsakes as proof of our place and time. My passion lies in storytelling that focuses on your present moments. Whether our adventures take us deep into the Hudson Valley, high in the Catskill Mountains, or within the comfort of your home, it is always about where you are meant to be and where you feel the most alive.
